I can't even front when i went to the Premiere of the highly anticipated film "We From Dallas" I had no idea it would be a such a large magnum opus event. They Angelika Staff, the DiFF Staff, & The most importantly the Film Staff Of We From Dallas Teddy Cool, King Hollis, Joel Salazar, John Huffman, & Islam Sesalem treated all of the legends who are featured in this moving Documentary like kings and it felt good. You could feel the good energy as you walked up the steps it was simply put magical and truthfully i didn't want it to end. The theater was packed to the multitude people of all races, colors, creeds & walks of life was there. People of all ages media, writers, rappers, break dancers, dj's, bloggers, it a beautiful experience.
I sat and watched the movie with butterflies in my stomache as some of the pioneers that helped built this lovely Dallas Fort Worth Hiphop Scene told the stories that have been locked away inside there minds for years and finally the world was getting to hear it one by one. Truthfully out of all the artist telling they stories I was moved so much by Money Waters, Kottonmouth, & The D.O.C. cause they spoke with so much honesty & emotion. To hear The D.O.C. speak about why he wore Oakland Raiders gear in his music videos & his publishing simply brung the room to a bone chilling silence i wanted to hear him say more.
They had a touching part dedicated to Minus One I've never met him I've seen him around the scene before but never spoke to him after watching that i wish i would have but it really was a moving piece I'm glad Teddy added to the movie i really hate that it had to end that way for him & i can see he was a pivotal part of the Dallas Graffiti scene rest in peace to him.
i am truly truly truly and one more truly proud of Teddy Cool, Joel Salazar cause i remember going back & fourth with them about this movie how to connect with the legends searching all over the internet Facebook, scanning photos, whatever it took to help get this important story told i saw them put Blood Sweat & Tears in that and to not say thank you to them from the bottom of my heart would be uncivilized. I know some may say why I'm not in there what happened to so & so its impossible to tell the story of Dallas in 90 minutes but them along with the rest of crew did a damn good job. And after it was all over they had a We From Dallas Q& A and Joel did something for me that i will never forget as long as i live he showed me love over & over about me helping them with the film. And that made my soul smile like its never smiled before for him to do that means so much to me and i will never forget it & you got a friend for life I'm not use to people giving me credit on something so big & powerful like that.
Then if that wasn't enough God had more blessings in store for me in the form of one of the illest emcees in HipHop period & thats the D.O.C. he gave a very moving speech to all the people who sat in the theater chairs & then he out of nowhere The D.O.C. showed me love or guess u can call it a cosign my God as a emcee when a artist who has reach the levels he has reached with one classic album No One Can Do iT Better shows you love in front of all those people its one of the best feelings in the world to the DOC i thank you for that even my friends where excited about that. I was saying to myself man why come i didn't have my phone on filming this stuff, how did i let a wonderful opportunity like this pass me by so at the least i can just let people hear it so on the way home I'm thinking to myself Joel Salazar & The Legendary D.O.C. just showed PiKaHsSo that level of love & i didn't even get it immortalized on film. Once again God sent another blessing to me by the name of Bryan Coonrod when i seen he had filmed this beautiful moment in hiphop i got so happy & excited called up my friend & personal videographer Marcellus Suber and had him chop up the footage and put it on my Verbadelyck Youtube channel and i thank him for that also
